Lecturer & Head of Department

Biology and Environmental Science

Damak Multiple Campus · Jhapa, Nepal

I am a Lecturer at Damak Multiple Campus, Nepal, with over 10 years of teaching experience in environmental science. I hold a master’s degree in environmental science with Distinction from Tribhuvan University and currently serve as Head of the Department of Biology and Environmental Science. My research interests include climate adaptation, ecosystem services, urban sprawl, environmental health, water and soil quality, solid waste management, ethnobotany, and community-based conservation. I also work on occupational and environmental safety issues. I apply tools like QGIS, SPSS, and RStudio in spatial and statistical research. Beyond teaching, I am the Treasurer and Member of the Biological Research and Conservation Center (BRCC), promoting biodiversity conservation and environmental awareness.
I am preparing to pursue a PhD focused on the synergies and trade-offs between climate adaptation strategies and ecosystem services in the Mai Khola Watershed, Ilam. I have supervised various undergraduate projects and published research on urban sprawl as land use change, solid waste management and pesticide awareness.
